baked chicken

when i was younger my mother use to cook allot. as i got older she kinda slowed down she taught me how to make allot but my only problem is the stove she taught me on i dont use no more .now when i cook food for instant baked chicken i sometimes dont let it cook all the way trough sometimes i just burn it what are some good tips for people who love baked chicken and want to try to cook it for them self and family in friends .
